Make Twitter Retweets Easy For Your Twitter Followers

I love it when my Twitter followers Retweet my Tweets.  Boy… is that a mouthful.  None the less Twitter has become a necessary strategy for promoting my online business.

I allow myself at least 20 minutes a day to Retweet my followers and business friends.  I try and make it as convenient as possible for my followers to Retweet me.

Here are a few simple Twitter tips that will make it easier for your followers to Retweet your Tweets.  I use them and I thought I’d pass them on to you.

RetweetMeme Retweet Button

This free WordPress plugin is a must for the convenience of your followers.  It will appear in the upper right hand side of your post.  After a reader reads your post, he can quickly Retweet your post right then and there without having to go to Twitter.com and Retweet you there.

Here is a screen shot of what it will look like once they click on the TweetMeme button.

They can just click on the Tweet and be on their way or they can make changes within the text.

I like having the opportunity to change the text a bit.  I like to add  RT(@name) before the text.    But if I’m in a real hurry… I just click the retweet button.

New Post:

When you have a new blog post… announce it.  It is an easy way to let your followers know that you have something new to pass along.  I get quick Retweet response when I add “New Post” before the rest of my information.

Leave Your Reader Room To Retweet

Don’t fill up the space with 140 characters because it leaves no room for Retweets without your followers having to eliminated some of the words.  Most folks won’t take the time to do it.  If you make sure you leave 20 characters unused…  your followers can Retweet you quickly.

Well… back to TweetDeck… a tweeting…or twittering format I love.

P.S.  Hey… let’s make a deal… If you tweet me… I’ll tweet you.

  1. Hi Kathy,

I’ve really enjoyed using the Tweetmeme button when I saw it on other people’s blogs, and I recently added it to mine. I love the convenience that if I’m trying to read several blogs per day and may not have the time to submit a comment on each, I can at least retweet the post so that others can know about it and benefit.

I’d also like to invite you to do a guest post on my blog as our thoughts often appear to be along the same line – I noticed that when we were doing the 30-day challenge 🙂 and I value what you write.

This is a really cool feature. There is another feature that you can add to your blog that automatically sends your posts to twitter – but I can’t remember the name at the moment – ugh! Anyway, I just started following you on Twitter, hope you will follow me back.

    Have a fantastic day!

  3. Great idea about leaving space in tweets for a re-tweeter to add a comment! I use the tweetmeme button and like it. Thanks, Kathryn! I always enjoy your posts.
